1. Call to Order

2. Kim
Principal’s Week: Sign, lunch, and gift card from PTSO all on Wednesday.
We will leave a poster out front of the front office for parents and students to write nice comments to Principal Lanese.
3. Treasurer Report

+$298.78 Restaurant Night Handel’s.
+$1500 Business Sponsors ($1000 from Lifted Trucks/ $500 from Neil).
+$708.48 Membership Dues from Stripe.
+$85 Giving Rewards (American online).

-$910.75 Penny Wars expenses (snacks, shaved ice, supplies).

4. Secretary
· Trunk or Treat
-18 cars currently registered and hoping for more.
-MRHS volunteer sign up is full, still hoping for more parent volunteers.
-Games station, glow station, ticket table/ 50 50 raffle, check in table, refreshments station, face painting/ temporary tattoos table, decorate a pumpkin station.
-Huge thank you to Kelly Sullens and her business Arrowhead Fit Body Bootcamp for having a candy drive that has generated 4 plastic crates of candy to support the event!
-Set up to start at 4pm.
-Food trucks: pizza food truck and kettle corn food truck (informed they need to be in the parking lot before 4:30pm).
-Voting for trunks:
–we will use a penny wars bucket for people to place a paper/ ticket with the number of their favorite trunk in it.
-Still need to:
–purchase more prizes
–purchase 30 mini pumpkins from Trader Joes.
–purchase refreshments at Costco.
–purchase 1st and 2nd place prizes for trunks.
–Mandy and Kim working on staffing a bathroom attendant.
–Mandy working on a hiring a police officer for safety.
5. Vice President/ President
1. Upcoming Events
· Bond Override
-Teachers will be standing out front of school on sidewalk with signs and would like parent support (10/10, 10/13, 10/15, 10/17).
· Texas Roadhouse 10/16
-Sponsoring a baked potato bar lunch for staff.
-Lacey will pick up and set up. Thanks Lacey!
· Mathnasium Math Night 10.21 6-7:30pm
-we have an RSVP so we know how many cookies to buy (cookies/ Water).
-Ask NJHS if they can volunteer/ play math games with family. We will provide a paper sign up to NJHS students for this.
· Bingo Night 11/7
-We will honor request for more straight Bingo rounds (Mandy will
email Copenhaver).
-Neil purchasing big prize and will call last round of Bingo.
-Kim/ Jenn to M.C. event.
-Kim will call raffle tickets for kids between events. Our goal is for all kids to “win”.
-Raffles: Ninja Nation and more.
-Lacey will pick up pizzas. Thank you Lacey! Mandy will communicate time.
· Top Golf 11/9
-$20 per person or $100 per bay (fits 6 people).
-People who do not book a whole bay will be put with others who do not book a whole bay.
-Advantage is bays are together.
-Prices includes 2 hours or play, Top Golf waving membership fee.
-Food and drinks are available.
6. Open Floor
· Reflecting on Penny Wars
-Ideas for next year: Place bins around flagpole if weather will allow to space kids out more.
-Plans for excess funds: put a camera up in Dash’s habitat, informational tiles with QR code outside of Dah’s habitat to educate.
-Use excess funds for more community events: Donuts for Grownups twice a year (December & Spring).
· Idea of how parents can celebrate birthdays:
-Can parent purchase digital marquee out front for birthdays? No, because it is labor intensive and only 1 person is trained on each campus to do this. PTSO is only allowed 15 per year and we raffle these.
-Other idea: Can PTSO purchase a letter tile marquee that parents can pay to put celebration information on? Yes, we need to see what this would look like and where we would put in. Lacey to possibly look into this.
· Love Our Schools Day
-Maybe the week before Spring conferences?
-Parents/ businesses/ students are encourages to help with vacuuming classrooms, sweeping sidewalks, washing windows, and other projects.
· CCV Soda Bar
-Michelle will work on a date.
-Ask if they would be interested in helping with Love Our Schools Day.
